I don’t love Harrogate as a pure numbers pick because Barnet are higher in the table, in excellent form, and have a much stronger attacking output. But if I’m backing Harrogate, my angle is survival pressure + home pitch + recent response. Harrogate have won 3 of their last 6, including back-to-back wins against Walsall and Colchester, so I can see them playing with more urgency than their league position suggests. At CNG Stadium, I expect Harrogate to keep this physical, direct and scrappy. That type of game can reduce Barnet’s technical/attacking edge, especially if Harrogate win second balls, load set pieces and stop Barnet building rhythm. I need Harrogate to score first for this bet to look good.
